Gable Price and Friends is an American indie-rock band formed in 2018 in Redding, California. They are widely recognized for their driving, high-energy sound—reminiscent of bands like The Killers and Kings of Leon—and their raw, honest lyrics that beautifully weave together themes of faith, doubt, and the realities of daily life.
Gable Price: Raised in a deeply musical home, Gable's father began teaching him the electric guitar when he was just six years old. Fun fact: he was named after the legendary Hollywood actor Clark Gable.
"The Dreamboat": Early on, Gable lived in a renovated 1977 Dodge camper van that he and his father built together, which they affectionately named The Dreamboat. It was in this very van that he traveled across the country to pursue his musical calling.
Family: Gable is married to his wife, Edita. In January 2025, the couple relocated to New York City to step into a new season of life and creativity.
The Band Lineup: The band's lineup has seen some shifts recently. Drummer Daniel Vargas and guitarist Adam Elizarraraz left the project to pursue personal plans, but the collective continues to actively write, record, and perform.
When They Married: Gable and Edita tied the knot in late 2021 (or early 2022). This was a period of monumental shift for Gable as he was graduating from ministry school (Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry) and transitioning into life as a professional songwriter.
Where They Met: The couple most likely met in Redding, California, where Gable had lived since he was 19 years old. Redding was a tight-knit ecosystem of creative and spiritually minded young people—the exact environment where his band originally took shape.
Gable frequently refers to Edita as "the love of my life". In his reflections, several reasons stand out as to why she became his ultimate anchor:
Support Through Transformation: Edita entered his life just as he was "growing out of" strictly contemporary Christian worship music and beginning to write more personal, gritty, and vulnerably honest songs about human nature. She fully supported his brave decision to step outside the comfortable boundaries of the traditional church community.
A Shared Adventure: In January 2025, the couple took a bold leap of faith and moved to New York City. It was a deliberate choice to start fresh in a metropolis where Gable could dedicate himself to writing songs for other artists and continuing to build his own band.
Aesthetics and Shared Values: Judging by their lifestyle, they both deeply value authenticity, indie culture, and travel. Edita often accompanies him on tour or supports him behind the scenes, remaining his primary critic and ultimate muse.
Gable points out that their album The Consequence of Being Alive largely reflects this "grown-up" stage of his life—a season defined by family, maturity, and the sacred responsibility of caring for the one he loves.
For me, Edita is a beautiful, living illustration of a truly supportive wife. In a culture of temporary arrangements and broken commitments, she stands as his ultimate companion—his "one and only," reflecting the singular devotion we owe to our Creator. Just as we believe that God is One, a covenant-based marriage mirrors this absolute, undivided devotion: "I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine."
